Our Story
We are a small family owned business that's been making memories for our Maui clients for over 25 years. We have an amazing team of experienced Maui Photographers, Maui Wedding Planners, Maui Photo Assistants, and Maui Photo Editors.
We started making pictures long before the digital age of photography, but we were one of the first to embrace this incredible technology. Although we shoot with the latest and greatest gear, our real strength is connecting with our subjects. Our goal is to make your entire experience one that will always remind you of the good times spent with loved ones while visiting Maui.
These days, most of our business comes from repeat clients that visit Maui periodically and we'd like to include you in this tradition. It's not uncommon for us to shoot a couple's Maui Proposal, then their Maui Wedding, then the first child and so on.
In fact, we offer Maui Wedding Planning services for any event big or small. We have many Maui Beach Venues as well as Private and Semi-Private Maui Wedding Venues.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if it rains?
In the event of an unlikely Maui rain storm that precludes us from shooting, you can expect a full refund if the event cannot be rescheduled.
What should I wear?
Complimentary colors are usually best. AM Maui Photo Shoots usually have more blues and greens in the scene. PM Maui Photo Shoots usually have more orange and yellow tones as the sun hits the horizon. Feel free to bring an assortment of garments to add some variety.
What about make up?
We offer professional make up services for an additional charge. If you plan on doing your own make up, try and avoid moisturizers or any product that is reflective on your skin. Think in terms of a "matte" finish as opposed to glossy. Bring powder if you have it. Sunburn is almost impossible to fix in post production, so it's always smart to book your photo session early on in your trip.
What should I do with my fly away hair if it's windy?
Consider an AM Maui Family Photo Shoot if you have long fly away hair. The Maui tradewinds usually start around mid-day and can become quite strong through sunset. You can also style your hair so it's not affected by the wind, but this option is best suited for Brides. In the event you must wear your hair down and prefer a sunset shoot, don't worry! We'll make it work, but it's helpful if you bring a hair clip or scrunchy of some kind to minimize the windblown look.
Can I download digital files?
Yes. All of our packages include download options. Some packages include files others do not. There is no minimum order for prints or files and the private online gallery stays online indefinitely.
How much editing do you do on the pictures?
All of our packages that include editing come with a fairly comprehensive basic edit. However, sometimes more precise editing is required and we can quote these requests based on the time involved. Our goal is to make you look your absolute best!
Can you shoot at my resort?
Sometimes. Each resort has it's own policies and procedures so let us know where you are staying. The entire strecth of Kaanapali Beach is off limits to all commercial photography.
My kids are a handful. Are you sure you're up for this?
Yes. We all have kids too, so we know the struggle. Infants and kids are usually better in the morning hours. Teenagers are best closer to sunset. It's smart to schedule a time when you know we have the best chances of capturing your family members when they are happiest.
How do we pay?
We accept all major credit cards, PayPal and Venmo payments. To confirm a date and time, we will collect a 50% deposit. The balance is due after the shoot and before editing begins.
Where exactly will we shoot?
Ultimately, you can decide on the exact location, but we can offer up some great options that are convenient for everyone in your group.
Are there any extra charges for a large group with multiple families?
No. We do not charge extra for large groups and multiple families. We can get a lot done in an hour even with a large group.
We prefer candid pictures. Is that ok?
We usuallly shoot a combination of posed and candid pictures, but let us know your preferences.
Do you have any flexibilty in your pricing?
Yes. We always have some beginner photograhers in training, so if you're on a budget, perhaps we can make it work. Just let us know.
How many pictures can we expect to choose from?
We will shoot hundreds of pictures during a one hour shoot. That ususally gets edited down to 100-150 images that are posted in a private online gallery for viewing, print ordering or digital downloading.
